Things To Do March 2024

The group exhibition "Acts of Resistance", which opens on March 8th, 2024, is a landmark collaboration between the South London Gallery and the V&A Parasoul Foundation Women in Photography Project in honor of International Women’s Day. 

The V&A is a family of museums dedicated to the power of creativity. Their mission is to champion design and creativity in all its forms, advance cultural knowledge, and inspire makers, creators, and innovators everywhere. They share a 5,000-year-old story of creativity through exhibitions, events, educational programs, digital experiences, conservation, research, and an ever-evolving national collection of over 2.8 million objects spanning every creative discipline.

Celebrate London's St Patrick's Day Festival on Sunday 17th march in Trafalgar Square. The best of Irish arts, culture, food, music and more. The spectacular annual parade has become a highlight of the London cultural calendar.

Promient landmarks around Trafalgar Square

  • Nelson's Column, the most famous monument. completed in 1843. Surrounding the column are four bronze lions sculptured by Sir Edwin Landseer. 
  • The square has two large fountains, build to reduce the open space. These decorative pieces were designed by Sir Edwin Lutyrns in 1939. 
  • The National Gallery are located on the northen edge of Trafalgar Sqaure. This is one of the most renowned art mueums in the world, and houses a vast collection of Western European Paintings including works by Vann Gogh, Leonadro da Vinchi & Turner.
